Placeholders are deliberate. They indicate where the manufacturer or supplier has not yet provided verified information.
Can it be used in the rain?
Yes. Aqua Patch is water-activated and can be applied in wet conditions or directly into a water-filled pothole. Excess water is acceptable; standing water does not need to be pumped out.
How soon can I drive over the repair?
Straight-line traffic can drive over the repair immediately after watering and compaction. It is hard as a rock an hour later. Allow about 2 hours at intersections and in areas where wheels turn on the patch.
How much water does it need?
Use at least 1 L of water per 20 kg bag. Around 1.5 L is typical, and 2 L is a safe field rate. Excess water will not damage the repair. The site calculator uses 2 L per bag as a conservative allowance.
What is the shelf life?
Unopened bags have a 12-month shelf life from the manufacturing date. Once opened, use the bag promptly and seal any remainder tightly; moisture in the air will begin the curing reaction.
How should it be stored?
Store in a dry, weather-protected area away from direct sunlight and rain. Do not stack more than 10 bags high, and do not stack pallets — the weight can create pinholes in the packaging and affect workability.
What repair depths are suitable?
The 5 mm mix is suitable from 20 mm thick and the 13 mm mix from 30 mm. Where the repair exceeds 50 mm, place and compact the product in layers. Fill to about 30% above the surrounding surface for compaction.
What application temperatures are suitable?
The product is workable in wet or dry conditions and down to −15 °C. Cure rates slow at lower temperatures. Follow the current technical data and project requirements.
Who manufactures Aqua Patch?
Aqua Patch is manufactured in Tokyo by Maeda Road Construction Co., Ltd. and distributed internationally by JALUX Inc. Y Block Pty Ltd holds the exclusive importation and distribution rights for Australia and New Zealand.
Is there independent test data?
Yes. SAMI Bitumen Technologies tested Marshall stability (5.0 kN average) and resilient modulus (1,900 MPa) after 7 days ambient cure. A Road Science wheel-tracking assessment recorded 1.5 mm rut after 24 hours conditioning at 40 °C, with 2.2 mm unconditioned. The reports are available on the technical data page.
How is it supplied and delivered?
Aqua Patch is supplied in 20 kg bags, 60 bags per 1.2 t pallet. Standard dispatch is ex Melbourne, with Caboolture stock available on request. Freight is quoted separately based on quantity and destination.
Can I pay by card?
Yes. Pallet quantities can be paid for online by card through the secure eWAY payment page. Direct debit and account terms can be arranged for larger or repeat orders.
